For Tossing a Stun Grenade into a Baby’s Crib, No Charges

For tossing a stun grenade into a baby’s crib during a drug raid that found no drugs, about which the adult suspect wasn’t even in the home, a Habersham County grand jury finds no grounds for charging the officers whose actions disfigured nineteen-month-old Bounkham “Bou Bou” Phonesavanh. (Among other injuries, the child’s nose was detached from his face.)

See, also the presentment from the grand jury.

If one can do this with impunity, one can do almost anything.

And that, after all, is where we are are.
