If Pew’s poll should be right, these results would be auspicious for libertarians: two big-government candidates, the challenger being weak enough that some erstwhile major-party supporters might be willing to back a third-party option.
Auspicious, in these circumstances, might be a doubling of the Libertarian Party’s routine 1% of the vote.
We’ll see: That vote share would be an LP record.
